Step 1: Feasibilitystudy In the first step, the developingteam researches the project and define the problems.
They define questions forthe project, constraints like time and resources for the project The developingteam need to check if the application is suitable with the RAD (RapidApplication Development) method or not. If the application doesn’t suitablewith RAD, another way is needed to be developed. If the RAD is justified withthe system, the development continues.Step 2: BusinessStudy In this step, the businessrequirements are identified. The requirements are questions like if the projectis possible to develop? Who are the end-users? What is the best plan todevelop? Which techniques should the developers use to develop the application? And the architecture structure of the project is constructed.
The application thatthe developers developed is checked if it is designed using RAD and if they aremaintainable, because the users might make changes along the software development.Step 3: FunctionalModel iteration In step 3, the functionalprototypes of the application is created. The functional prototype defines whatand how the application should be implemented. Step 4: Design andBuild Iteration In step 4, the design of theapplication is made, and coding is done based on that design.
After developingthe codes, they are reviewed to check if they meet the customers’ requirements.Step 5:Implementation This is the final stage in thismethod. In this stage, the end-users who will be using the application are instructedto know the working system of the application. If the user doesn’t like thesystem or they are not satisfied with the result, the development must startfrom the step 4 where designing and coding will be carried out.
