On August 15, 1971, President Nixon announced his new
Economic Policy known as the Nixon Shock, and so, put an end to the Gold
Standard. As a result, the US economics went through a deep recession for some
moments. This economics recession affected the
workers’ salaries in the 1970 s.
In 49 years, the inflation-adjusted salary of workers changed
greatly. In fact, in 1973, the inflation-adjusted salary of female workers was
$30,182 and nowadays it went up to $39,621. The inflation-adjusted salary of
female workers increased by 30%. I may say that this rise is justified by the
workers’ working conditions which are better nowadays then they were in the
past, and also to the fact that the US was able to stabilize its economic after
the economic crisis in the 1970s, 1980s.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
is a private foundation founded by Bill and Melinda Gates in 2000. It is said
to be the largest private foundation in the United States. Its purpose is to
help poor countries, by promoting Education and Healthcare in these countries.
They also want to end poverty. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has
visited some countries all around the World and also in Africa to vaccinate the
population against some specific diseases. Eventually they went to: Kenya,
Nigeria, India, Ethiopia, South Africa and plan to go to many other countries
In 2009, the Bill and Melinda
Gates foundation realized a project which regrouped 30 000 Indian girls between
the age of 9 and 15. These girls were asked to line up for three dose of the
vaccine known as the HPV vaccine. Some months later, some of the girls died and
others had severe headaches, stomachaches, lost weight, appetite and stamina.
Later, the NGO activists speak out about the Indian young girls being
used as guinea pigs for the vaccine experiment. However, India cut all the ties
with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Supreme Court in India took
up the HPV Gardasil fraud claims.
