Myreading habits arenot where I was planningthem tobe because I think I cangive much more time to read interesting books.
Most of the novelsthat I read are for finance and one of the my favorite author isRobert T. Kiyoski. I read his books most and I occasionallyalso read magazines as a form of entertainment. In general, I like tospend more time to read.
First, reading is the only waythat I travel all over the world and visit the history while I amsitting on my chair. Ialways merge into the history while I am readingabout history and atsame time think aboutwhy a certain decisions were taken.I take better decisionsand solve problems through reading history books.
Inaddition, I read novelswhenever I get time orwhen I am bored and have nothing to do. I always think about changingthis behavior because it is good to have a special time for readingand itis the only way to be aware ofwhat is happing around. Itgoes without saying that through reading, we can expose ourselves tonew cultures and traditions. Reading helps me understand the wayother people think. It shapes my and how they think. Ipersonally feel despondent with my reading habits since I feel thatit has affected with my talking capacities. It would feel as if mytongue has become thick, I would stutter on my sentences frequently.
If I read aloud from a text, I could talk smoothly in English. Mypoor reading habits also have an effect on how I would writeassignments and essays in simple English rather than the collegeformat I should have been accustomed to by now. Finally,I realized I don’t read as much as I would like to and as I should. One of my goals for this year is to dedicate more time to reading thenewspaper and educational books. With this I intend to be moreinformed about what’s going on around me. There is a quote I readonce and I thought it was very interesting it says, “knowledge isnot power, it is application of knowledge that is power” andthrough reading we obtain knowledge meaning books are powerful piecesof information.
