Ethicalbehviours played a vital role throughtout the research as it reduces the risk of conflictand bias. There are certain considerations to bear in mind when conductingresearch. When people are involved in research, it is important to considertheir feelings and all aspects of privacy. The first aspects of ethicalbehaviour includes having respect. There are specific rights individuals havethat must be respected.
To show respect in planning questions that are wordedcarefully so that they are not too personal and do not cause distress oroffend, also making sure the respondents give in their full consent and knowwhat is happening with the information they give. Integrity also plays acolossal role as for a Reacher they must be honest and truthful as they areaccountable for presenting and undertaking research without changing, modifyingor destroying any material. Questions should be presented without bias ordistortion. Besides making sure the entire research is thoroughly reliable andvalid which will also contribute to its integrity. Privacy is another critical aspect of ethicsthroughout this research. It can be protected and confidentially assured byasking for permission prior to carrying out any primary research or recordingany data using equipment such as a digital camera or smartphone. As well ascarefully storing data in a safe place such as a locked up cabinet this willensure that the information of respondents are kept confidential then when theresearch is completed shredding data should be done prior to the disposal.
Thiswill keep all respondent’s information private and this kind of behaviourdemonstrates how I am having respect for subjects of research. The finallyelement of ethics includes how data should be presented without bias. Inresearch, bias is any influence, condition or set of conditions thatmisrepresent the data. Bias can occur at any stage of the research process in anumber of ways such as the researcher’s personality as well as how I lay outthe questions and the respondent’s personality. To limit bias avoid askingleading questions, choose sampling methods that does not reflect the age, gender or culture of the population and recording data that supports myhypothesis rather than being objective.
By avoiding these actions there wouldbe a less likely chance of bias happening.
