CPD is continuous because learning never ceases, regardless of age or seniority, whilst it is professional because it is focused on personal competence in a professional role. It is concerned with development because its goal is to improve personal performance and enhance career progression.

Strength and weakness of CPD

the strength of the CPD is that it helps a lot of people not only employees but also employers as they are given they staff a way to improve their skill, knowledge which in return means that those employees can provide better care and service for the service users. Is also a benefit for the employers as they get more and more service users who will also refer that organisation and its service to other people.

The only down side of the CPD is that it does cost and not every organisation can afford to pay this for their staff, even though it not very pricey not everyone has the amount of money it requires. Also even though most organisation now a days do have the CPD not every organisation employees or even employers follow it, sometimes once the CPD is learned employers do no encourage they employees to follow it through or even use it thus this can be just a waste of money and time as it does take time for everyone to learn the CPD.

Every health care worker need to have personal attributes such as honesty, patience, enthusiasm, responsibility, self-motivation/initiative and must really be a team player.

The strength of personal attributes is that it helps people identify wherever they can do certain jobs or not, it gives them list of attributes to which they can match with theirs and if they know that they do not have these attributes then the job is just not for them, I think personal attributes are really a great way for someone to know wherever they are perfect or suitable for a job or not without having someone judging them. It a great way to self judge our self before apply for jobs. The weakness of it is that it can put people down someone people may not have the attributes listed but they can developed it over time and be very good and successful at the things they are doing and even enjoy it.

Teamwork.

Just like in every health care career, being a team while working together is important. Employer or employees will be part of an interdisciplinary health care team, they will have to provide quality holistic care for every patient thus teamwork is truly important. Teamwork consist of many different professionals who all have different levels of education, ideas, backgrounds and interest working together in order to provide good care for patients and service users.

Strength and weakness of teamwork

The strength of a team work is that they are many professional people working together who have the same goal which makes it easier for the team to work together and towards that goal, also having a good team means that they can provide a good mental support team for the people they are treating but also within each other. The weakness of a teamwork is the tension can arise sometimes between the members, it is possible that sometimes people do not appreciate being told what to do and how to do things or even work with a team which can cause a lot of problem with that team and can possibly stop the team from making a good team and providing good team work.

Good Interpersonal Relationships Guidelines.

Poor relationships interfere with the quality of care, goals and work satisfaction. Respect can be a big issue for a health care worker due to cultural and ethnic backgrounds, gender, age, lifestyle preference, beliefs and levels of education. A good health care worker should, show sensitivity to the hopes, feelings and needs of team members. They should treat other as they would want to be treated, they should have a positive attitude, be friendly and cooperative, listen carefully, respect the opinions of others and they should perform their duties to the best of their ability.

Strength and weakness of good interpersonal relationship guidelines

The strength of GIRG is that is there so that people know that they need to respect each other but also the patients that they are dealing with no matter what they gender, age, status or culture is. When working with people they can be a lot of injustice thus the reason for these guidelines. Having guidelines to show people the correct way of dealing and treating each other is productive. The weakness of this is that even though the guidelines are there not everyone will follow them.

Overall I think that CPD is a very good think as it does work since many workplaces apply these rules so that they can support their staff ad clients. CPD it very essential as it help employers and employees do they job better, I think that if every organisations as a CPD which they followed fully organisations would be a better, safe and pleasant place for every service user. CPD also shows employers and employees that working together could benefit not only them but also the organisation, as when working together as a team work chances are that more things are done and that service users are happy with the service they are getting which at the end will only be a good result for the organisation.
