Our report is based on exploratory research, the aim and objectives of our study is to study the training program of a petroleum industry and to suggest a training program for a petroleum company manager. As our report is based on petroleum industries, Petroleum industries consist of refineries and Oil Marketing Companies of petroleum products. In Pakistan, oil is a major source of energy for industrial activities along with coal and natural gas. Energy requirements of transportation sector are mostly met through oil. The current demand of oil in Pakistan is about 20 million tones and is increasing at the rate of 8 per cent per year.The Industry we selected for our survey is SHELL PAKISTAN LIMITED.
The Shell brand name enjoys a 100-year history in this part of the world, dating back to 1899 when Asiatic Petroleum, the far eastern marketing arm of two companies: Shell Transport Company and Royal Dutch Petroleum Company began importing kerosene oil from Azerbaijan into the subcontinent. HRM management training program is a natural extension of a strategic review and works well as part of a business trilogy with marketing and financial management development programs.The trilogies effectiveness can be enhanced by including modules which are Objectives, Responsibilities, towards employees and to those with whom it does business, Business integrity, Political Activities Of employees. Then we have discussed that why an organizational / management development program necessary is. Then comes the human recourse department which is a specific charge for the Pakistan Human Resources team is to develop and implement strategies in support of the Shell Blueprint; most particularly the priorities of being a model of diversity and helping people reach their full potential.Training includes job search and career counseling, tertiary education and professional courses, business start-up advice, mandatory professional accreditation and intensive language tuition. Petroleum Company that we have selected is SHELL Pakistan. We went to shell and talked to Hr managers. After making this report we now have a fair idea about petroleum industries and their different training programs.We were not able to get the names of all training programs which are conducted in Shell but some how we get some of the schedules of training programs. This is our term report for the course Human Resource Management. The core objective of the course was to ensure that the students get the knowledge of Human recourses.
We have studied this course and following all the steps of “Training” made our. Through this report we have tried to eliminate all the ambiguities and defined shell and their different training programs.
